Before I start the guide, it is important to know that this is not a one-to-60 guide to leveling, it's an instructional guide to aid you in getting your cooking skill up quick If you require guidance on how to level that is the best, it's Classic WoW leveling guides.
This is a simple 1-300 cooking guide that expands on my combined Fishing and Cooking guide. The ingredients are found in mobs.
Please note it is a LOT easier and cheaper to level your cooking whilst leveling your Fishing simultaneously.
I have tried to find the simplest, fastest and cost-effective recipes. I also tried to avoid using trainer-only recipes whenever possible. Therefore, take your a** to the cooking instructor and learn the skills of a cook apprentice.
After you have been trained as an apprentice chef, you will be able to make three recipes. These are along with your skills in making fire.
Herb Baked Egg
Roasted Boar Meat
Charred Wolf Meat
The recipes are available as-is, with no additional ingredients.
So lets start cooking :)

Cooking Guide 300 to 375
Horde
Master Cooking is the first step. Visit Baxter at the Thrallmar Tavern to buy the Master Cooking Manual.
300-325
Buy the recipe for Ravager Dogs from Cookie One-Eye in Thrallmar (by the stables) and then kill Ravagers at Falcon Watch until you have approximately 35-40 pieces of meat.
350-325
There are two choices.
1.). Purchase the Roasted Clefthoof recipe from Nula the Butcher in Garadar (Nagrand) and then take out Clefthooves in the vicinity of Nagrand for around 35-40 meat or
2.). Get the Warp Burger recipe at Innkeeper Grilka in Stonebreaker Hold (Terokkar Forest). Then, kill Warp Stalkers/Hunters throughout Terokkar Forest to get about 35-40 pieces of meat.
350 to 375
This part really is a challenge at the moment. The best way to make it to 375 at the moment is by fishing up the frenzied Crawdads in one of the three lakes in Terokkar Forest and then cooking them. The three lakes can only be reached by an aircraft mounted.
Three lakes:
Lake Jorune, north west of Stonebreaker Hold.
Lake Ere'Noru - south east of Allerian Stronghold.
Blackwind Lake - in the south-east corner of the map, in the Skettis area.
You can buy the recipe from Rungor in Stonebreaker Hold.
You also need a 430+ fishing skill in order to catch fish at this location.
It is also possible to go to Blade's Edge Mountains to find Matron Varah who is an NPC (she's at the Inn), who will offer you a quest to find Serpent Flesh as well as Raptor Ribs. After you've completed the quest, she'll give you the recipe for Crunchy Serpent, which will stay green untill 375. For Serpent Flesh, you can now kill Scalewings in Blade's Edge Mountains. To get to 375, you'll require 60. Personally, I like the fishing, but that's my personal preference.)
Alliance
Master Cooking is the first step. Visit Gaston in Honor Hold to purchase the Master Cooking Manual.
300-325
Sid Limbardi is the one who has the Ravager Dog Recipe
innkeeper
Honor Hold, then kill Ravagers in Falcon Watch until you have about 35-40 lbs of meat.
/innkeeper
325 to 350
There are two choices.
1.). Buy the Roasted Clefthoof recipe from Uriku in Telaar (Nagrand) and then take out Clefthooves about Nagrand for 35-40 lbs or:
2). Get the Warp Burger recipe at Supply Officer Mills located in Allerian Stronghold, Terokkar Forest. Kill the Warp Stalkers/Hunters within Terokkar Forest for 35-40 meat.
350 to 375
This is the main issue at present. It is possible to reach 375 by fishing for Furious Crawdads around Terokkar Forest, and then cooking them. But, these three lakes can only be accessed if you own an air-borne mount.
Three lakes are listed:
Lake Jorune - north west of Stonebreaker Hold.
Lake Ere'Noru is located south of Allerian Stronghold.
Blackwind Lake is located in the Skettis region, in the south-east corner of the map.
The recipe can be purchased from the Innkeeper Biribi in Allerian Stronghold.
Alliance isn't able to provide an option to get the Crunchy Serpent Recipe at the moment. So, bringing the level between 350 to 375 will be difficult without an air-borne mount or 430+ fishing ability.
